let me get this straight.....you pissed away a bunch of money getting a 3 angle valve job on POS e7 heads, and now you plan to **** away more money building a set of gt40 heads? and then you plan to use those heads on a 331? with all that money wasted on worthless heads you could have bought one good set such as afr or TF. and no gt40 head will flow enough air to support a 331

ok, i didnt get the valve job. bout the heads for $100 with receipts for the valve job. later, got a deal on the gt40p's that came with the intake. and hell no, i am not stupid enough to run gt40p's on my 331. i might not know it all, but im not a complete idiot. and just a side note, i have been lookin at AFR's to run on my 331

347 ftw! plenty of guys running 400 to 550hp running 10's to high 9's on a stock block, still end up taking the car home after. all depends how good of a tune you get. but yes the best way to go is a boss block. but it is your car, so go with what you think is best. you are worried about the side wall getting thin go for a stock bore. 342ci

i honestly think he'd be happy with low 13's or high 12's...

its still a huge step from the 15-14.5 stock et's, and a lot of people think that thats pretty quick.

hell, i remember when i took my car to the track the first time and i ran a 14.2 and i thought that was great (it wasnt lol).

i also remember the first time i drove a C5 Z06 right after that weekend and VERY quickly learned the difference between a 14 and 12 second ride...

lol, honestly i was lookin for 11.5-12.5's. but the one part of the project that i havent pretty much decided on was the tranny. i already know what i want as far as suspension, wheels, motor, and such but when it comes to the tranny im completely stumped. what do you guys think the best tranny for my 331 setup would be?

T5 with a little bit of work will do fine.

Astro Performance can help you out.
