Default long tube headers vs. short tube

ok i am probably doing exhaust soon. what are the pros and cons of long and short tube headers? horsepower difference? would like to hear your input and suggestions on headers was actually thinking of hedman or hooker. And does anybody know of any websites where you can go to hear the sounds of diferent mufflers?

im not 100% but i think shortys would give you more torque and long tube would give you more hp up top... i would just you tube it for sound. put in 5.0 and the type of mufflers

this is complete bullshyte. dont sling this mis info around

longtubes = performance increase

shroties = waste of money.

the only benefit of having shorties is the ease of replacing starter and replacing your clutch. long tubes just take a bit more time and patients to get them in since you have to lift the motor off its mounts to slip in the long tubes.

go with MAC long tubes, 1 3/4 w/ 3" collector from CJponyparts

Long tubes are where it's at unless you have turbos.

^^^don't worry...LT'S aren't for everyone, and depending on the build/use the difference between the two will be miniscual, expecially when comparing most teen crazed street/strip mild builds
