'Check Engine' light question...

'Check Engine' light question...
This morning, on my way to work, I jumped on it for a second and the RPM's were in the Yellow for a quick sec before I shifted...well at the same time, my 'Check Engine' light came on and stayed on for like 2 seconds. It has never done this before, and it still runs great and it hasn't came on again. Any idea why this may have temporarily came on for like 2 seconds? Should I be worried..?
