I need a picture of the safety latch assy on a fox body mustang, my hood has pins only and I bought the safety latch but there is nothing to catch it when the hood is closed, need to make a bracket if I can't buy one.

thats the top pic he sent you (the black bracket). you dont need that for the hood to lock. the red piece of metal riveted to the hood on the right in that pic is the main latch the latces to the unit in the second pic.

the hook on the black bracket (in first pic) latches to the red tab next to the latch in the second pic. (thats the safety latch/hook)

your may be adjusted wrong and its not grabbing that red tab. i had to put a washer under the black latch (just above the bolts) so that it would tilt the latch backward a little so the hook could grab the tab.

yep that hook needs to catch the bottom of that tab
