check out my build thread on my 94 vert "the build of a street maching". I've spent about 3500 so far and my budget was 2500. Im nearing the completion of my build, and wish I should have gone a different route. My next motor build will be what my original plan was, 408 stroker or im going turbo.

But just plan on having that extra $$ for those little things here and there that you dont realy expect or should upgrade.

Yeah mendez, I know what you mean. Your build is looking great btw! Any other input would be great guys! Oh, another thing about this build, my suspension is all factory, as are the brakes. Now, I am putting all the money now into the motor and such, but, within the next 4-6 months, I'm going to look at upgrading brakes and suspension. as far as those go, whats the best way to go for suspension on a budget? Just springs n shocks....or what? Thanks

3.73s are plenty. u just need some sticky tire.

I did my hci for about $1500 including gaskets and bolts etc. but i left the bottom end alone (had about 103k on it). but i got used parts.

ill be running a 100-125 wet shot too. i hoping for mid 12s

as for suspension what type of driving are you going to do? just drag? street? road?

id go with an adjustable shock and strut like strange 10-ways. (i have them) you can set them up for drag, street, road racing..

for springs if it is going to be an all around car go with like H&R Super Sport springs or something like that.

and do upper and lower control arms w/ poly bushings but run the rubber bushing in the axle housing to avoid binding.

my buddy Trey has a 93 mustang, same type of piston's as yours, and hes pushing 14-16lbs of boost at it. he made 409hp at the wheels with stock heads, and gaskets. He is now rebuilding everything, and shooting for 550 at the wheels.

he beat the crap out of his car, he had a decent tune, but as long as you dont be stupid with the spray, you will be fine.

Honestly, I'd rather go supercharged, but, didn't figure I'd have the money to do so. Now you have me thinking. lol. If I use this forged piston motor I've got, and did a h/c/i and did the $1500 blower kit.....I wonder if I could get it all done for close to the same money. I'd like to see 375-400 at the tires was my goal with the spray, seems like that might be possible or more if I do the blower?!

as for my driving, yes, it is mostly street but I will be dragging some too. What do the 10 way set ups run?
