How to disconnect speedo cable?
Changing my heater core, and am at the part where I'm removing my gauge cluster...any advice on how to disconnect the speedo and wiring harness to the cluster? It's a really cramped spot and I've never disconnected one before...

Once you've disconnect the speedometer that harness are easy to pull.
This is all you have to do to disconnect the speedometer.

Thank you very much, worked perfect! One other thing, since I've noticed that you seem to know quite a bit about these from past threads I've read... I've almost got this ready to drop, but somehow can't get my center console out. If I lift from the rear, it picks up and is loose, and it seems that I have all the screws out, but it won't come out. The write up in the Mustang magazine that I've been following shows that you lift it from the rear and it drops a bit in the front from the dash and comes out, but it sure isn't workin for me haha! Is there any secret or hidden screws that you know of?

If you've removed the screws in the back behind the plastic cover on the console the only thing that would be holding in the middle would be the 4 screws under the shifter bezel that I can think of.
See if this link helps you any with your problem?

Yeah hell I sure think I have em all out... the two by the Fuel Door Release and Rear Hatch Release and the two opposite of those on the drivers side are out... The Release buttons are disconnected... hell... That is an excellent write up! Somethin is holdin it tight in front though. I guess I'll have to save it for another day and just keep lookin for the mystery problem.

These are the only screws that I can think of that might be holding the console in the front.
This should be the location of all the screws that you need to remove to get the dash out.
