Went over to my garage and looked at my car some more today, it has the same springs in the front as well, along with a 4 barrel 600cfm holley carb, and a Weiand 8011 Intake.

Is there an easy way to identify the heads?

Also... what can you guys tell me about this intake?

look like GT40p heads to me. I saw GP kinda blury in the one pic.


looks good, but I dont like the wing.

say whaaaa?????????????? no way, gt-40p's have a straight plug orientation, his are angled, most likely they aren't anything special =stock heads

Its an WIX oil filter. I use that same brand its highly rated but then again its just a filter. Also It doesn't sounds like your car is cammed, sounds like a stock motor with a few simple bolt ons, such as an intake and exhaust. The 600cfm carb is factory as it came all on 81+ 5.0 mustangs before Computers took over. I would suggest as a first upgrade getting a 650 holley, I used one before upgrading my motor and it worked flawless and gave it a nice kick over the factory 600. Going anything bigger then a 650/700 is just a waste on a slightly modded 5.0. If you do a heads/cam job then consider a 750-800cfm.

Edit: I noticed now two it has an ignition upgrade which is always a bonus. The A/C compressor seems to be not hooked up, take that off and gain a few HP from less stress on the crank.
