92 5.0 coupe. terrible 1/4 mile times?

Exclamation 92 5.0 coupe. terrible 1/4 mile times?

i have a 92 5.0 coupe thats been punched .30 over has gt40 heads lunati mild nitrous cam. full exhaust bbk underdrive pullys 3.73 gears. and i run it at the drag strip last night and i run a range of times from a 16.6 to a 17.1. i have resantly put a new fuel pump fuel filter and sraner on it a week ago. i am running a 285 tire on the back and i shift at about 5500 to 6000 rpms.
if it helps any here is my exact times that are on my slip
r/t....... .005
60.......2.551
330.....7.123
1/8......10.856
1/8 mph....67.33
1000.....14.034
1/4........16.683
i know the car is faster than that i watch hondas run 17s all day long. can anyone give me any advice or have any idea whats going on.

Take your foot off the brake. If your car don't stop good let us break it breaks r r speshultee. Compweter exorcism or expert weasel removal for fare price. Ok check and see if brakes are dragging. Bubba

I would do a compression test. You would have to be a really bad driver to pull off those times. So unless you are that bad of a driver, something is mechanically incorrect.

Wow that is worse than a Stock car... Bummer deal. As Blackout said I would do a compression test. May be a dumb question but have you checked your timing? Good luck you should be running much better numbers than that.

yea my timing is set at 16 degrees
