Burning oil on a 88 notch?

Burning oil on a 88 notch?
I have an 88 notch 306 with a vortech v-2. Ok so my car smokes when i push it hard. It wont smoke on start up or under normal driving. It will only smoke if i floor it between 4k and 6k rpm. Could i possibly need new rings?

Do you have any type of evac system on it? How much boost you pushing?

its only pushing about 4 to 5 psi

It wont even smoke if i rev it to 6k while its sitting...only when i punch it while driving...the smoke wont start till about 4k or 5k...it also comes out once i let off.

Are you sure its not fuel? How much does it burn off?

Well idk that its not fuel. I checked the oil before i drove it. I went out and drove it for 2 hours straight. Then i got on it a few times. When i came home the oil level was exactly the same as when i left.

Well I just started it up today and drove it. Puched it hard again all the way to redline in first gear and no smoke...

Its more of a darker smoke..Im gona have the A/F ratio checked
