What Stall Converter Are You Running?
#21
I have a Redneck "3100" stall and it won't flash to that even on nitrous. There are a ton of factors involved in this, so it would be best to just call the companies and see what they suggest. Good luck

I am not thrilled with the stall speed. The converter seems to be decent quality though. Basically, a build sheet needs to be filled out to get a proper converter. And a light Mustang with an 8.2" engine USUALLY won't make a converter flash to its advertised speed. If you go with a Redneck, order a higher "stall" than you need, as I have heard from many people that theirs is also too tight.

I'm running a 4500 Hughes in my 2830# Mustang.8.2 deck 352 cid.
Mechanical roller.
It seems to work very good with nearly 0 for slip on top end....
Btw, it will idle thru the pit at about 800 RPM going about 7 mph.....
