this past wed i went to the local track for some passes, and seat time. took a buddy from work that used to bracket race, and outta the box his coaching took me from a 15.1 to a 13.7. biggest thing stay outta the water box on street tires. cut a 2.0 60ft, and ran the traps at 100.44.
what im getting at is i don't know where to go next to keep improving my times? i know i need some sticky tires and some rear suspension
help. but what else should i consider. car is a daily driver, and i have a family so i'm not looking to remove seats and what not to lighten the car up, but just don't know what mods to make to help my set up.
specs in sig, if you need more info i'll do my best to answer all questions.

agree wit hthe nitrous!
cheapest way to go fast!
But if you are going with nitrous, may wana consider doing adjustable upper and lower control arms, and maybe even a drag race oriented sway bar

not interested in nos right now. want to get the best i can outta my current set up. then i think when some money comes available i'll lean towards a turbo set up of some sort.
i'm thinking some hoosier qtp. then after that the suspension will get its upgrades. i guess no use having suspension before tires.

"NOS-Douchebag and or Ricers term for a power adder consisting of 2 parts nitrogen and 1 part oxygen usually misused for purging and making a honda civic seem like a 14 sec pass is fast." (FuelSlut.net)

well you already know you need tires and suspension, i would focus on that. a good set of tires such as qtp's or et streets arent cheap, neither is good suspension parts. besides the upper and lower arms, get new bushings for the rear mounting point on the upper arms. control arms dont come with them and they are easily forgotten. also get some subframe connectors and an anti-roll bar. with all those suspension mods and tires you can easily spend $1000-$2000 on parts. you dont specify a budget but i would assume thatll be enough money to spend on the car for a while. should get you a significant drop in your quarter mile time.

thanks luckthirteen13. that is great advise. thats exactly what i was looking for. yes theres always a budget. but the nice thing about the rear suspension is that you can do lil by little. lower control arms, then upper control arms, then an anti roll bar. the front is gonna be killer when i get around to it. cause once its apart its a lot easier to replace everything at once.
was tire shopping last night. like the reviews on the nitto555 like the price on them too. they might be my next upgrade.
