Just a heads up, not trying to bash you, but you're wasting your money. you could be saving up for some better flowing heads. or if you're talking about intakes you're WAY better off investing in heads.

yea i was looking for some numbers not opions not to sound like an a**, you know like intake flow 180 stock and with a good port job 210. you know stuff like that. i know alot of ppl have ported gt40's. so yea . i know with $900-$1400 i can get some kick *** heads . but the gt40's are free and the head job is only $370 with the upgraded springs.

well hey, free's free, like i said i wasn't trying to bash you. $900+ a lil +plus shipping can land you some assembled TFS twisted wedges..but anyway, GT40 IS NOT a bad head, I'm currently running it myself, not 100% on the flow rate, depends on who's porting the heads. Just curious, what cam are you running?

that cam is crap, no matter what deal you got. Throw it away

What intake do you have, what gears etc. we will suggest a better cam for you if you give us a more complete build list

yup... stock twisted wedge heads that perform LESS than ported iron heads, and no you can't... you'll be $1200 in it by the time time you have them in hand

sweet.. i'll have to call my homeboy who works for svt, he'd love to do an article about the NEW gt40 heads for the '02 stang

so from a REAL perspective, not an opinion of what my neighbors brothers cousin told his neighbor who texted his brothers girlfriends boyfrind and told him about.........

my buddy went 11.80's on mild ported gt40 irons and box stock 40 tubular intake squirting 125 on his stock internal '92 gt 5-speed

it was a big launch and he eventually broke axles, but work on the exhaust ports

intakes need some smoothing in the turns, and do a comp valve job. if they are from a cobra or lightning remove the thermactor bump, and match your intake to the heads with a 1250 or whatever the gasket is. but the big gain is port and polish the exhaust

since when have gt40's out flowed trick flow id think it would be a lot of port/polish work do you got the flow charts to prove this because if that was true everyone would be running gt40's
