The one in my 98 is making some pretty good noise right now and I just ordered a new frpp one last week. I might have though different if I knew about this one.

ive never had one fail, but ive had 4 t5s eat the dust big time. if your buring up pilot bearings i wonder... i run 2.3l t5s with diesel ranger pilots which i admit are way better than the stock one so maybe that helps, by the way i havent ruined my 2.3l t5 yet!! the 5.0 ones are the ones ive destroyed.a skate board style bearing is all you need not the crap *** needle junk the stock 5.o t5 uses. the weakest points of a mustang are after the flywheel lol!!

I don't see how it would improve friction over a bearing. The roller bearing is virtually frictionless by virtue of being a bearing. A bushing is still a bushing, and regardless of design or material, by it's very nature will have higher friction(though still very little). I suppose the 1 caveat to running a kevlar bushing is that it may last forever and not need to be changed. And it may be cheaper. In the world of engineering it all comes down to "what gets the job done effectively, with good durability, for the lowest cost."
