Maybe Rev Limiter?
I was shifting a 5500 before the swap, no problems then. (Is the stock rev limit set at 6200?)
Now after the build, the rev limiter seems to be coming on at 5500. The car runs GREAT, no miss, no valve train noise, nothing..
.
New Mods :
Im running the FL1A, 15w40RT Shell, 1 can of ER..
Adj fuel pressure reg and gauge 40PSI
Stock 19's
Stock rockers
Ecam
Ported and Decked E7's

That is my bet also. Stock springs are not even good enough for the stock cam. I bet he is floating the valves.
