So I took the '91 out today for the first time at a local 1/4 track. As far as I knew and was told from the previous owner, the only thing done to it was BBK shorty's and he rebuilt the stock AOD. With no aftermarket stall or shift kit or anything. And the only thing I did was put some Nitto 555r's on the rear and took some weight out. The car with me in it weighed in at 3200 lbs. So other then that I was under the impression the car was stock. My goal for the day was to be into the 14's but figured it would be hard with it being an auto. However my times were a bit faster then many of you and me expected.

So I guess my question is, do you guys think there is more done to my car that I don't know about or is it possible to have run those kinda times given my conditions and setup?

It was about 65* day with very low humidity. I'm unsure of the DA but I'm about 700 feet above see level.(If that helps any). I can post slips if need be. Thanks in advance.

Great times for an auto. I bet it has a set of gears installed. Get a pic of the engine bay, we might be able to spot something that has been done to it.

your car is capable of 13's put a stall in it and some gears, current 60's suck IMO for competitiveness but for and aod in stock forum I wouldn't expect much more

That's the first thing that came to mind was the gears but I'm pretty sure its nothing to steep if anything at all. But tomorrow I'm gonna lift her up and check the rear end out. While I'm working on it tomorrow ill take a couple shots of the engine for you guys but from what I can tell nothing looks aftermarket, but these Fox's are new to me so my knowledge of these is very little.



Yes the 60's are very disappointing especially for having a set of DR's on the back. However most people were having issues with traction. On my first pass of the day with my 2V I lost it and drifted into the other lane. Thank god I was racing a 10 second Camaro because anything slower it could have been a bad day. After that I decided to focus my attention on the Fox and I tried to break into the 13's but could not get that 60' down.

how were you lauching?

also, to quickly check rear end gears, rotate the rear tire one full rotation and count how many times the driveshaft spins
