how hard would it be to hook this up?

Probably no too hard. The factory one isnt mechanical. So you can probably just borrow the old wires. It probably uses a positive, a ground, and then the wire from the pressure sensor on the drivers side of the block.

In my opinion it would be easier to just run a mechanical oil press gauge and way easier to install it.
