Quick question about HID's
I have smoked lens covers for my headlights and fog lights and now I'm debating on whether to get a 6000K or 8000K HID kit. Does anyone know how well the 6000K will shine through? I'm sure they'll be more than enough, I just wanted to see if anyone here had something similar done.

5000K (pure white) anything more is just lame. do you really want retarded blue lights??
the K (Kelvin) is just a heat range that the gas burns at to produce different colors. doesnt mean that they are any brighter |

5000-6000k are the brightest HIDs. higher number just makes the bulbs bluer, then purple. i think really low numbers gets you yellow lights. I run 6000k on my truck and are very happy with them. theyre hardly blue and very bright

I have 6000K and smoked headlights and they look really nice, definitely not "retarded blue."

i guess ill be the first one to say that in the stock lens the throw will be all over the place and with HID youll blind oncoming traffic. unless there is a cutoff on the housing that i dont know about.

Looks like I'm going with the 6000K because they are more white than any of the other ones offered. Thanks for all your help everyone.

What HID light kit do you guys recommend? I remember seeing a thread on here about a certain brand that allows for regular and high beams. The bi-Xenon or something like that?? Are there any kits for the fog lights that makes them brighter?
