I found mine on ebay just browsing one day under "95 mustang" or something like that. It was 1450, after shipping and replacing a few missing things I'm still under 2k. Just need some free time to install it.

Another option is searching for a used head unit only and not a "kit" and buying the other pieces new from superchargersonline.com and summit or where ever
heres a walk through for it, a few of the 4.6 guys have done this.

I got a buddy that is getting rid of his mustang. He is almost positive the Paxton 1220sl is going to be gone regardless but, we will see. He said he wanted 1500 for it if the deal doesn't go through. It is a good blower, he bought it new 2 or 3 years ago and paid right at 25 for it I think. It still has the original pulley on it. The one that can't be taken off without paxton knowing so the warranty would be void. It also doesn't involve tapping the oil pain since it is self contained. If he doesn't trade it for the Barracuda, I will let you know.

Where are you getting it for that? The cheapest one on their site is over 2500. Jegs has it for 2200 and Summit is more than them. And he did pay 2500 when he bought it from paxton. He actually had over 3 grand in it after he got it paid off on the credit card
