new build tunning issues

how big is the best for the primary tubes on the headers......and 3 inch collectors ....pretty sure i have a 3 inch h pipe or its 2 and 3/4 ill have to make sure

I don't think you are going to find a shorty header with anything other than a 2.5" collector. I would just go with a 1.625" primary for the reason of cost. The 1-3/4" seems like a waste of money on a shorty header to me. The collectors are most likely going to to be 2.5" anyways.

So yea, 1 5/8 primaries with a 2.5 collector.....

i have a feeling that i should get even length or tuned headers but gota ask does it really mater

as far as the transmition goes how can i reduce the hp loss ......will a shift kit do that or is the tans mition just junk......or get it rebuilt with shift kit.......lot of people tell me that its not nessisaraly the transmition but more the torque converter......
