I have one for sale and have been wondering if I was asking too much. From what i learned so far, the smog equipment can't be used with it. So if smog test are in your area, it may be best to go with a different set-up. They also need to be drilled and tapped for the act sensor. Other than that, I don't see how they wouldn't be better. Seems like it would run cooler if the egr gases were not running through it. idk though, they may have smaller ports or something than the internal egr manifolds.

oh and your tb should work fine.

I had to drill for the IAT sensor on the one I ran as well as the rear coolant port for the EGR spacer coolant barb in the rear of the intake. Mine had internal EGR passages like the stock unit. I replaced it with a PP Typhoon intake.

I didn't hook up the coolant passage on the spacer. Honestly, I don't believe it is needed. Or at least it wasn't on the engines the intake came on.

i have been considering trying to find a way to drill it out so a hidden jet for meth or nitrous could be used.
