GT40/ Explorer intake question?

Default GT40/ Explorer intake question?

what gaskets or gasket set will i need to instal a explorer intake? there is a stock intake on currently. also i saw a post talking about the instalation of a gt40p intake? is that an explorer intake? if so what should i expect during instalation? thanks guys mike

If there is a stock intake on it now, you need to change the heads too unless you are running a kenne bell that requires one or have a nitrous plate for the gt-40 you want to use. Gt40 intake on stock e7 heads isn't going to do anything for you if that is the route you were planning on going.

damn thought i would throw it on while i save for heads. i will wait til i get the heads. the dummy i bought it from put a cam in it the only other thing aftermarket is a maf and cold air the thing runs like crap for now i am putting the stocker back in til i get the money for cam and heads. i will take you advice and wait to put the intake on. thanks for the heads up mike

just speaking from experience. I put the kb on mine with the stock e7s and the gt40 lower. It had mad torque from what it had before but, I could tell they were choking it down big time once the car got moving good. On a stock motor, it wouldn't do anything but a gain couple of horses or so.
