Price Estimate

Price Estimate
ok, so some of you may know I had an incident with my car a few months back... currently the front bumper and driver side fender are in primer that has slowly but surely been falling off I want the panels to be green again.
what would be a fair estimate for paint for the bumper/cobra grille and the fender? 300 bucks? I can strip as much of the primer off the bumper and fender as I can, cuz alot of it is falling off anyway. would I be better off taking the panels to maaco? or a local body man? the rest of the car is not getting painted. I was going to take the panels off the car and bring them individually. I need to adjust the fender right anyway, its off by a bit in the front. and I would be laying down the stripes on my own to save cost. the stripes were laid on over the clear anyway, but regardless, seeing as how hoods run about 200 bucks for a decent paint job, I would assume a bumper and fender would be around the same price? I just want something that looks decent, the whole car needs to be repsrayed, but it has a few cosmetic issues that I need to address i.e. dings, a few places it has cancer a new hood etc...

The problem with paint is you get what you pay for. Even if you have the fender and bumper painted the same factory color, you will notice a difference between the fresh paint, and the paint that has been on there a few years. This can usually be helped by color sanding the whole car.
I paint myself, so I know what goes into a good paint job, and what I am shoving out the door at cost. I strongly recommend if you want the car to be done right, shop around your body shops, get quotes, and pay for a decent paint job. If you don't care and just want it one color, God gave you Macco!
