The blocking plate is the thin plate that goes between the flywheel/flexplate and the block. Yes with the correct c4 you can get that power to the ground. You will want a case fill because they are more abundant. The pan fill are the older style c4's BUT I think they may be a bit stronger, I don't remember.

Thxs for the info guys and great website as stated earlier.
Now for converter size is bigger better type of thing ? 8" 9" are they just measuring overall diameter?
