Default Need suggestions on what heads and supporting parts for 347

Buddy of mine has 347 short block that he is running a carb setup on.THis is pretty much a street/strip car that is not meant to be a dd.lol

He already has
-Holley 750 carb
-Edelbrock victor jr intake manifold
-Custom grind hydrolic roller cam ~ 233*/243* .576/576 w I-6 111 lobe sep.

What size heads would you guys reccomend he run with this setup?which rocker arms and valve springs as well?

thanks in advance

TFS FAC 190 would be a good head with that setup. Good power with a good price.

And why isn't that a daily driver? It's hardly what I'd consider wild, and seems like it would be well under what many people would consider the limit of streetability.

190cc to 200cc runners would be great. Choose a combustion chamber size that keeps his overall compression ratio where he wants it. For valvesprings, I would recommend whatever the cam grinder does. Comp Cams makes good stuff, as does Crane Cams. I particularly like the Ford Racing roller rockers, but the Crane Cams ones work just as well. If you really have some money to spend on rockers, check out Harland Sharp http://www.harlandsharp.com/

so far the advice here has been pretty good. Like said above, any good 190-200cc head will work (not procomps).

My concern is that carb. Your buddy may find that to be a bit on the small side.

he got a pretty good deal on the carb so we are figuring we will try it and go from there. We just weren't sure what size head would fit it nicely.

Thanks to everyone for the response's.

Stay away from 'Pro-Comp' heads........
That 750 carb maybe all you need with a decent head.
I'm running altitude corrected 10.90's with a 3.40 stroke engine on a 650D.P.
Somewhat larger cam than what you have and 195cc TF 'TW' heads that are cnc'ed
