Side exhaust, yes or no?

Side exhaust, yes or no?
Well I have a flowmaster setup after my offroad H-Pipe and it was welded, but not very well. The tips don't line up and one tip doesn't even clear the bumper. That sides muffler also rubs the body. So I'm going to have it fixed, but got to thinking: who says I should cut some slack out of the pipes after the H-Pipe, move the mufflers up, add in a 90 degree bend and have it exit before the rear tires?

.....you would be removing more pipe.......
Anyway if you move the muffler up you will have alot less ground clearance. The mufflers are where they should be for a reason. You need to find some flows 80 series (camaro mufflers) or some spintechs (sound like booty) for the side exit option. I think there are a couple more but they are outrageously priced. Also it just looks stupid without some side skirts to complement it (done right, not hacked up GT side skirts).

Yes the car will be louder and there will be more sound inside the cabin BUT if you point the tips of the dumps out a 45* angle it helps out alot.

my car had them when I bought them... was the first thing to go have a mac catback now... much nicer
reasons NOT to put sidepipes on a fox
1. sounded like crap
2. every time i stopped, the exhaust fumes would make there way into the cabin
3. looked like garbage/ hackjob
