Power Estimates
First Hello all, this is my first post here. I just finished my motor build a few weeks ago and it's running good! I'll have to wait a few weeks to get it to the dyno and track and see what I'll run.
Just to see what do you guys think, what kind of RWHP & torque do you think I'm realistically making? I'm hoping for low low 13s in the 1/4. I know it's not a real aggressive build but I did it on a super budget. Here's my car: 1991 notchback MOTOR .30 over 302 GT40P heads (59cc) +3cc flat top hyper pistons (est 10.2:1 compression) E303 cam Typhoon upper/lower intake BBK 75mm tbody BBK CAI headers/H pipe/ Flowmaster 50's timing @ 14* OTHER Aluminum driveshaft 94 cobra R wheels 245's Front / 275's Back SN95 Brakes/5 lug conv 3.55 gears (still I know) I usually hate posts on "how much power will my motor make" but I'd like to see how close everyone gets. |

maybe break 200 to the wheels! if you expect low and get higher results you`ll feel good about it lol!

Wow... what a range of opinions.. (395hp, ha ha)
I was assuming with the higher CR that I would be at least over the 230 mark. Take a look at these article, Seems like my setup is pretty similar http://www.mustang50magazine.com/tec...nes/index.html |
I read that story from the magizine.
IMHO, they are sort of inflating the HP numbers just a bit. I've been told (and it seems true) that wheel HP will be 20% less than what the flywheel HP is. 320 flywheel is 320 -64 (32X20) 255 rear wheel HP Seems sort of high for no more cam than that, not impossible but just sort of high.... |
i think it;ll be in the 230's
