i decided to replace my wiper motor as it was getting tired. when i separated the shaft from the arm i had to remove an odd looking clip when i got it to release it shot off and i can not find it! does anyone know what type of clip this is and where i can get another and if not what if anything could be used in place of it? thanks mike

it was on the arm itself right?

you must have broken it. all you do is lift the arm, then slide the piece out... it holds the arm up and allows you to lift the arm off.

i take mine off all the time to "clean" up the look of it. and i never drive in rain neways

yes i am almost positive it is on the shaft connected to the motor but i will double check the second piece is the arm that attach's to the motor and the wiper arm/rod then lastly the clip slides on to hold them together. does that make any sense? thanks mike

i found it! it is called wiper linkage retaining clip, the part# is c5zz*17531*a it was only a dollar and change
