Found my misfire!!
I think I finally solved my very odd misfire. It went like this: at any cruising speed or at idle the car had a misfire. Once you got on the gas a little it would clear up. We contacted the Ford hotline, Ran diag on the SBDS at the shop, and diag with the NGS. We showed the problem to several other techs at the shop and no one really had a clear idea. According to our diag the misfire was coming from cylinder #3. I decided to start taking the engine apart until I found the problem, didn't have to go too far. My intake spacer had burned up from the EGR gases and melted into #3. I think the egr eliminator caused this. It was blocking off the gas from recirculating for reburn. I ordered an Accufab TB with egr spacer last Friday so it should be here on Monday or Tuesday. We'll see how it goes.
If anyone else has any ideas, lets hear em.

Weve had Hondas in the shop that have the EGR get stuck open and they will miss and carry on like crazy at idle (especially since most are 4 bangers). The HDS (our scantool) wont show it. Once you crack the throttle and the pcm actually commands it on the engine will clear right up.
For ****s and giggles I had one at the end of may (08 Civic) missing and we though egr but found out the block cracked, overheated and warped the head. Had no compression on #2 and #3. Also I had a customer rev her '08 Accord V6 6-speed to 9433 rpm and bent an exhaust valve causing a miss on #4 due to compression loss.
Never seen one burn the spacer up like that though. Kinda makes me wonder about mine.

Believe me, You'd have felt it by now. The car had only been on the road for 1014 miles when this happened. Fresh built motor, everything was new basically because this is a 4banger project that I've been on for about 3 years now.. I think it was the combination of running the spacer with the egr eliminator(which is just a plate).

Weld up the hole in the intake. Im thinking about doing something like that once I build my new motor for my car. That way I keep exhaust out of the intake and heated it. (stupid idea to bring hot exhaust gases up the intake.

do you still have smog equipment on your car? if you dont that shouldnt be an issue.. cuz the exhaust comes in from the hpipe into the pump, into the thermactor tubes through the heads and into the intake. i have no smog and the thermactor holes are plugged. you prob didnt have to do that to your lower.
