Default quick question about stang's and capri's

My buddy is looking to pick up an early 80's capri, pretty sure its an 83 but could be an 85 - dont exactly remember what he said. My questions is are there any doors of a stang that will fit that body style? The bottoms of the doors are rotten and he wont get it if he cant find replacement doors. Thanks in advance.

like said doors from 79-93 will fit... the only difference is the plastic side molding and the door panel

That might not be quite accurate, 1986 was the last year for the fox body capri. There was a break in production until 1991 before the next capri came along that was based on a mazda.

Alright cool, thanks a lot everyone. Turns out it was an 86 T-Top, but by the sounds of things it should fit. Thanks again.

The Capri had a bubble rear window different rear lights and similar front lights! I think that of you fund one keep it because it is rare! I was in my early teens when they came out and even then you didn't see many! Like the 67 through 71 cougars if you have on keep it!

Conejo172 you're right, if you find one especially one in decent shape get it and hold onto it. This is response I posted to another thread
The Capri RS changed a lot between '83 and '84. In this link http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareLan...localeid=en_US you can see pictures of my '84 RS. I bought it new in October '83 and have had it since day one. I don't have pictures of the interior but it's much different than this particular '83. I haven't driven it in several years and it only has 40,000 miles on it. It has a built motor, hooker headers, flowmaster mufflers, 4.10 gears (which were a mistake). I've just decided to go over it and get it ready to drive again. In '83-'84 a Capri driven by Tom Gloy won the SCCA Trans Am championship and I had to have one. So one evening in October '83 I drove past the Lincoln Mercury dealership and a car hauler was sitting in the lot with two of them they hadn't unloaded yet. One red with t-tops and mine. The very next day I was there when the dealership opened.
