Default Injector Sizing???

I was going to pick up some injectors soon cause I know I'm maxing my 19's and had some questions. First off what manufacturer and size would you guys go with from the info in my signature. I am also planning on adding a shot of spray at some point 100-150. Also what MAF would you recommend. Before when I first was building my setup I used some "24lbers" and the thing was pig rich and wouldn't run. I don't have the cash for tuning right now, but I should be able to get it running good with timing, fuel pressure, and a calibrated MAF, Right?

the inj were not the cause of your pig rich prob originally, and how did you determine it was rich?? smell?? and with cats removed...if so I laugh at such a diagnostic approach when heard.....anyway, 24's should be sufficient, my set up is similar to yours and runs fine, most likely your original prob was being off on adjustments or a crappy quality/poorly tuned maf

Originally im sure the problem was a crap MAF or the borrowed injectors werent 24lbs cause I really couldn't find any info on them. MAF was calibrated for the 24's. Stock pipe was hooked up (4 cats) 12 degrees btdc and 39lb fp. Smelt like raw fuel but anyways thats not the point. I had people telling me that I HAD to have a tune for the larger injectors. I was just trying make sure that I should be fine with a larger injector like a 30lb or even a 36lb and a good calibrated MAF.

Also do you guys like a particular brand ford, accel, trickflow, etc for the injectors.
And do you think that 36lb would be overkill . I want plenty of room for that shot.

Yes 36 would be way over what you`d need, no tune for injectors, as long as you have a calibrated maf, the injectors will be fine, unless ofcourse you have the woman syndrome of bigger is better. with that i`d go no bigger than 30`s.

I had a 308, tfs topend with 150 shot! ran fine for over 2 yrs! somehow i got away with using a stock meter calibrated for 19`s and no tune! I had and still have 30`s! they are working fine on my new 347! when i upgrade to the nitrous i`ll go to 42`s!

injectors are based on powerout put potential and over all duty cycle of the injectors in use anything at or below 85% will last you a pretty good while after that they can over-heat and stop working(short) or just meltdown!

brand is more or less irrelivent the same company prolly manufacteres them all, there just solenoids!!

just make sure the connnectors are the oe style EV1 i think! Ev6 u have to splice new connectors on your factory harness!

Yes that would be the adapter kit, they fit inbetween the factory harness and the injector!

Good choice on the 24`s you didnt get the woman syndrome of bigger is better!
Good luck and have fun!
