Default 225 60R15 tires

I am getting my 88 GT back on the road after 10 years of almost no miles. The original gatorbacks are cracked badly. I am finding this size of tire is almost obsolete.
Anyone have any suggestions on replacements? Local dealers have come up with Falken or Fuzion brands but I'm not familiar with these and wanted bigger name brands. Thanks

I'm pretty sure BFG makes a 225/60/15. I've ran them on a pretty stout mustang and a ranger, did excellent on both.

Fuzion is a good tire. We sell them at my shop.

My Saleen has 225/50/16 on the front and 245/50/16 on the rear. Looks great but my wheels are 16s. You can go to tirerack.com and look at measurement conversions for height and width and then make your decision. Mine are all still tucked in the fenders and not sticking out like a bad offset tire on a F250. LOL

BTW - Nitto Drag Radials on the rear. Love them.

tires dont have offset......

and 225/50/16 is not right for your car, should be 225/55/16... Just thought i'd throw that out there.

BFG G-Force are still made in 225/60/15s

my next set will be those, from my discontinued Traction T/As

You know what I mean. They are not too wide.... "like a wide tire on a bad offset wheel on an F250" Where I live I see that crap all the time. Not trying to be technical just having a little fun.

Edit - My front tires are 225/50/16 General Exclaim UHPs. not 55s. That may or may not be what came from the factory but that is what was on it when I bought it last year. They look fine.

Thank you for correcting me so eloquently!
