Default twin CAI

well thought id post a pic of what ive been working on. every twin turbo kit ive ever seen has the filters mounted right to the turbos. i did that as well but due to how close the turbos sit to the front of the engine bay, only the tiniest of filters would fit. i had some tubing i ordered way back when i first was building my TT kit as well as the rubber couples and hose clamps just laying around and figured why the hell not. i made a couple CAI for my turbos so that they could breathe better as well as suck in some fresh air from under the car. best part, i had all the parts laying around so it cost me absolutely nothing.

and since i have a thread already going i thought id update my progress.......or lack there of. sold the pms, it just didnt want to cooperate. worked great when the car was NA and sc'd but not turbo. idles better now without it. didnt realize what a voltage drain it was either. with the pms, idle voltage was 13ish and under 12v with the efan on. now it idles at ~14.4v fuel pressure was 39psi vac on with the pms, now its 46psi vac on. huge jump in fuel pressure now that the pump is running at fuel speed.

i have an appointment for tuesday morning to get my car dyno tuned. sold the pms for $660, my buddy is giving me his old chip for free and the dyno tune will run me $300-$400 so not only am i getting my car tuned by a pro, im making money in the process!! any guesses as to what itll make rwhp? :-)

It's funny that nobody ever wants to listen to me when I say that the PMS is a POS...

You would have been fine with the Moates QH, but dyno'd by a professional... very smart move

i thought about the qh for a second but i really dont have the time or patients to do my own tuning anymore. also the extra money ill have in my pocket will make getting my car smogged easier if you know what i mean. i have to pass emissions by august.
