Some tracks have additional rules too, so it may help to check. Like for instance NHRA says any vehicle REQUIRED to have a bar or cage, must also have SFI harness. However some tracks say that if you put a bar/cage in a car even if it's not required, then you have to have the SFI harness as well, even if you run 15's.

So your cage is chromoly and is TIG welded right. IIRC 8.5 cert also requires a funny car style cage around the driver.

actually all you need is a 6 point just past 11.5.

And yes, mine is chromoly, and tigged in (only way to properly weld chromoly)

ps OP, not a big fan of the wolf craft cage, we had A LOT of fitment issues, a lil disapointed

FINE whatever.. haha.. For some reason I had it stuck in my head that it had to be a 8 point but you are right about the 6 point..

I belive at 9.99 you have to step up to a 10point. and yes it is 11.49 for the 6 point but if your running anywhere in the 11.5X range there is a good chance they will give you the boot... well at least they will here.

I think that's one of the things that makes this difficult, no one wants to adopt the uniform rules. Everyone has their own "better" way of doing it so every track seems to go by it's own rules...or at least a modified version of someone else's rules.
