Best looking all white foxbody convertible
Ok, maybe not really, but I'd like to think it was. Anyhow, read an article here earlier about an argument between a new 5.0 and 370z. Reminded me of my 5.0 and 300zx. The car has been sold, but what a beast it was. I had to let it go because it was a raging money pit. Below are where it started, a quick look at both of em in my driveway and the end result of my driveway..well my old driveway. Let the pics begin:
2005: Purchased, couldn't identify mods, clutch was burnt and top was deteriorated.
2006: On top of the problems above, engine started bucking, fog light broke, brakes had to be replaced
2008: After two years in korea I got back to the states and began working on it:
2009: Almost complete, changed the clutch, flywheel, distributor, top, window, rims, brakes, spark plugs and wires, etc:
2010: Finished up the work, looked great but saw that i still needed to invest more money as other things broke. However, It looked fkin awesome, you must agree:
After selling it to maintain a healthy financial status, here is where i stand:
MAN do i miss that mustang, but it was just too much of a financial fiasco. It hauled serious *** down the street. A few test drivers/prospective drivers challenged many a corvette and fellow 2005-current mustang and they breathed our dust. Yeah, I'm sure someone has a car that can beat it, but those didn't. BTW, if you're wondering the list of mods like i say in my sig, I'll list em out for you now:
K&N intake ram air intake
80MM MAF (me thinks, it was bigger than norm)
GT40 Upper intake
GT40 Lower intake
GT Stamped Cast Iron Heads (some called em gt40 heads, i dunno)
GT40 Platinum Spark Plugs
Ford Racing Roller Rockers
Some Cam that wasn't stock (very obvious)
JBA Shorty Headers
Flowmaster exhaust w/dumps before axle
MSD Race Ignition (That yellow one at Autozone)
93 Cobra ECU (verified by serial# on unit itself)
Some..uh..aftermarket fuel injectors....can't remember
Herst Short throw shifter (yes, it was a herst, i saw when we dropped the tranny)
Stage 2 Clutch
Street flywheel
Aluminum driveshaft
3.73 final gear
All wheel disc conversion (not 5lug though, i dunno why not)
160mph speedo
God only knows what else now. Everything else was internal, that car could move though.
On street tires it was really easy to break traction at 60 in 3rd. Dunno if that means anything to you, but it was awesome to me. Anyhow, The Z is great, its what i want. T-Tops, sex appeal, and turbos. it reminds me of my old iroc-z.
Talk at cha later.

^So you know what i'm talking about, wooot. I have an endless affection for the horsepower capabilities out of most early 90's and late 80's cars. Those 5.0's (GM and Ford) when fixed, can take some serious abuse.
BTW, if anyone is in the San Antonio Area, I've got those turbines still with Goodyear Eagle HP's about 90% tread. They were brand spankin new when i bought the car in late 2005 and only driven on the tires for three months before putting it in storage.
