I presently have a 91 GT and looking to upgrade to a new model stang. A friend of mine has an 01 coupe just sitting around doing nothing. Needs a paint and some engine work. I know I can get it from him for a really low price. I was wondering if I get it, could I take parts of my old 91 and put in this newer body stang?

Presently I have:

5.0L V8 completely rebuilt
B&K Headers
CAI
Flow Masters and pipes
New Ricarro style seats...other little goodies (dvd player and such)

Would the engine, headers, mufflers and pipes be a sensible swap?

Of course it can be done, but it is not an easy bolt in swap (well it kinda is). Basically, if you have to ask you're not really ready to pull off this type of swap. Plus, depending on where you live, it might not be a legal swap. You would need to swap ECU, harnesses, cross members, engine mounts etc.
