Ahh great! Exactly the kind of info im looking for! Thanks alot guys!

Yea, i mean choosing heads is alot more complicated then imagined, the 5.0's have so many options and so many applications.

I really like the sounds of running the 289 heads (considering the steam hole modification isnt too complicated) A nice little boost in compression will help me along quite a bit.

BUT!

Now, after further research, Ive also looked into W351 heads....Ive heard both love and hate storys about em'. I guess a little more research is needed.....And after it all? I'm still interested in the good ol' GT40's.

Keep in mind, im just looking to do some top end motor work, (attempting to keep the motor in the car and just remove the front clip.) so im attempting to use stock pistons for the time being.

But as far as converting to a roller setup, it sounds like it wouldnt be a bad idea considering it opens up alot of options compared to flat tappet, I have all the peices from a roller 86' EFI, i am seriously considering converting to a roller, nice set of heads, cam and I should be gold sitting somewhere between 240-260rwhp.

Any other insight would be greatly appreciated but I really appreciate the responses! Thanks again!
