I bought the replacement bumper from late model restoration and it's the hard black plastic. I moulded a cobra grill insert into is using rubber bumper repair. Now my question is, since they are both not very flexible, should I just paint them like the rest of the car? Primer, wetsand, sealer, paint, clear?

if the bumper cover is not already coated with a primer, use an adhesion promoter and in the primer, base and clear you could use a flex agent if desired.
