Can I install bigger throttlebodys and a hotter cam with default ECU?
I'm looking to beef up performance and have been told that bigger throttlebodys and a hotter cam would give the most bang for the buck. But before I go and spend a bunch of money I need to know if I can use it with the original ECU or if I need to get a piggy-back system to go with the original ECU.
The engine is totally stock.

neither will give you "bang for the buck"
You should start off by putting a set of gears in the rear end and having the differential rebuilt.
In your particular situation (1995 GT) A camshaft will only slow you down. Ford did a really good job with the grind they put into our cars. The best things for you to do would be intake and exhaust modifications. Larger MAF, larger TB, better intake, better heads, headers, mid pipe, catback.

bigger tb and cam on a stock motor = waste of money and no HP gain.
you need to stop listening to the person who ever told you a cam and tb on a stock motor will get you the best bang for the buck.
but to answer your question, you can run a bigger cam on the stock computer with no problems

To answer your question even farther you can run alot more than just that on a stock ecu. One of my brother's neighbors has a 95GT that my brother built with a fully built top end and runs great. Of course a tune will always maxize HP gains but what most don't realize you can do ALOT with the stock ECU.
