Default Wantin to buy a 93 fox stang...............

Im wanting to buy a 93 mustang and want to learn everything i can about it. I figured this would be the place for it. I might ask some weird questions but i guess it cant hurt to ask. I was wondering if i got a 93 gt stock would it come flat out 302 or would I be able to get it with a 306? The 306 is what im wanting to build on. I want it to be fast i just dont want to start off with building a 331 or 347 stroker. Any suggestions?

the power between a 302 and 306 is negligible. you can make tons of power on a 302/306 you just need to ask the correct people. some people may have overhauled the motor and it will be a 306...just depends. original though is 302.

what are your goals? budget? that'll determine the route you need to head down.

any reason for '93 specific ? of all the foxes they are the ones without forged pistons. i also believe they have the worst cam of all, and some other things. i base this on my '89 V my '93. setup the same, similar mileage etc. my '89 was about 1/2 second faster and hooked worse than the '93

and if your gonna overbore... might as well stroke... thats my opinion although you can make plenty as a 302 or 306 especially if money is tight.

the '93 has the best colors imo go here if you wanna see rarity of colors
