Talking 5.0 build!

whats up people! i just got a stang for 1800 off some random guy! so i was useing it pretty rough thena knock started.. now i wanna build it! an want over 350 horse power? can i do this with $2000? an my block 5.0 has over 250,000 miles should i get a new block? oh an i dont want a supercharger, i wanna keep it without one! thanks any help will be great!!!!

I wish it was that simple lol. I dont think its feasable.I don't know a fraction of what other guys on here do though. But IMO, you shouldn't worry about building a killer motor yet, build up your suspension and drivetrain a little first. I've seen 5.0 blocks runs past 350K and still run strong.

2000 bucks wouldnt buy you much more than heads and a rebuild.... save more money.

the only way to come even close to 350hp for $2000 is with an on3 performance turbo kit. the kit is about $2000 but youll still need bigger injectors, maf, fuel pump and a dyno tune which will set you back another $1000 or so. I have a buddy with a stock 302 with a little over 200k on the clock. its stock from tb to oil pan other then the on3 kit and it dynos ~540rwhp

what annoys me is spending my first 10-15 min organizing sections when all could be avoided if people would spend a few min reading, it usually is lazy noobs with 1-15 post counts max..............and to the OP, save your money 2k won't do it right

attend driving classes if you drive you're car like a crazy person. with 350 hp you're going to kill yourself
