Default Building a 347, need some info

My winter project this year is going to be a 347 that I already purchased. I need some help with some information

1). I know the 347 will be held back with stock heads, and I have a seperate pair of ported stockers. I've read that there's not much benefit from the ported ones, but I'm not going to be building a horsepower monster, it's mainly just for a fun muscle cruiser I'd like to eventually work towards.

2) Will 24 pound injectors be sufficient for the 347 (assuming I use the ported heads)? How about the stock fuel pump?

3) If I do decide to get heads, it will be a gt40 variant to save money. Which one would best suit my application, and will I need bigger injectors than the 24s, and stock fuel pump?

4) The guy I bought the stroker kit and misc. parts from says there's a "flow tube" I can buy to fit in the MAF that he gave me that is calibrated for 36 lbs (or whatever is around that size).

Thanks for the help, I know a lot of my answers depend on each other.

dont use the maf he gave you. its likely a C&L, which are ****.

30# injectors would be best for your car. Save money and dont install the E7's.... ever.

as for saving money by running a GT-40 variant... you have got to be kidding. I bought my Canfields for $650.... you cant possibly tell me you cant swing that.

and you would be wise to bump up to a 255lph fuel pump.

Me being new to the mustang scene and aftermarket, I only know a limited source for parts. Mainly FRPP and 50resto. I can deffinately swing 650 for a set of heads, 800 was the max I wanted to go, but I have to sell a lot of stuff first. I have 2 sets of 24 lbs (well I have 1 set of 8, 1 set of 7 :-( ) The MAF he gave me has a crack in the sensor housing anyway so I'm deffinately hesitant to use it. I doubt it even works.

5) I currently have an E303 with new pushrods and lifters. I also have the lunati #51014 cam. The specs for it are

•Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 284/292
•Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 218/226
•Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .500/.510
•LSA/ICL: 112/108
•Valve Lash (Int/Exh): Hyd/Hyd

The appear similar, a little different. I've been told I'll get more power out of the lunati cam, but I love the sound of the E303 and for my ultimate appearance of the car, would rather have the E303. Anyway, since the specs are so simliar, would I run into any problems using the same lifters and pushrods if I were to use the lunati?

both of those cams will choke the crap out of your engine.

Places you should search for used part....
www.corral.net
www.craigslist.org

Sources for NEW parts:
www.summitracing.com
www.jegs.com (i dont like their site very much)
www.americanmuscle.com

along with many, many, MANY more.

Before you buy anything... ASK. But take the answers you get with a grain of salt. Most people on here own 15 second ****boxes that couldnt pick up even the dirtiest ******... So be sure to look into peoples history, and see if they have a clue what they are talking about.

I honestly don't need the most extreme amount of horsepower out of the car, and don't want to go broke in the process. I might settle with one of those two cams, I still have to budget this project and see what I can swing in each department.

AdderMK2 is right. When I was building my 347 I asked a lot of questions and got a lot of good answers. But its your car and your build and your money so make sure your own research. I used 36lb injectors and ordered a ProM 80 with an Anderson power pipe.

I got such a good deal on the stroker kit plus a ton of extra parts for 700. I can sell a lot of stuff and pretty much cover what I'll need to buy to get it running. Now if I want heads and all the necessary upgrades, then I'm looking at some money. As I said this is my winter project so the money will be spread over a long period and hopefully santa brings some money haha.

just know with 302 parts you will make 302 power. dont come back here bitchin cause your **** is slow. if you want it built right you will have to drop some coin on it. its a givin. however the right used parts from the right places you could have something fast for relatively cheap. but dont think you're gonna have a fast 347 with only 1k in mods. trust me...it just doesnt work that way
