Default Baller on a budget, looking for ideas.

I recently bought a gt40 upper and lower intake. Im thinking cheap, cast heads soon, and install new heads intake and injectors and a t/b maff ect. Id rather keep my bottom end, do a decent top end set up to hold me over for awhile.

I recently had a hole in the fill tank seal, and was looking at this kit:

But then, since my car is old, and worn, maybe since ill have the tank out, i might as well replace the fuel pump.

Which made me look at this combo.

Now, is this a good future plan?

Would 24#'s be perfect for a 70mm t/b gt40 heads ?

Or should i step it up to 30#'s?

Id just rather not buy the package deal if id be better of with bigger injectors.

Im trying to plan ahead.

Also, if i get a 73mm maff calibrated for 24# injectors do i need to tune the computer?

I am really struggling to grasp this concept.

what heads are you looking at? if you're staying stock bottom end with cast iron heads, the 19# injectors will work fine. if you go with the 24#, no computer tuning is needed if the MAF is calibrated for them.

No need for 24's until you get a set of aluminum heads. Not because they are aluminum but bc of the extra power. UNLESS you have a heavily ported set of GT40's or GT40P's.

Ok thanks guys, i did a good 3 hours of reading last night

and found out this sum'd up

If i want a larger t/b, i need a larger sized maf.

Maf size > t/b size

If i want larger injectors:

I need either:
A - A tune for the computer ( which is expensive )
B - A calibrated maff, ( less expensive ) Althought a calibrated maff only tricks the computer.

If im doing both (injectors and maff ) its best to just buy the injectors and a pro-m maf.

I have a gt40 intake, so id like to go as big as possible and run a 70mm t/b ( although i think with my purchase it came with a t/b im not to sure what size it is. )

And ill use my 19# injectors in the gt40 intake. The goal is to find a F2VF-12B579-A2A which i believe is 70mm, to go with my set up.

Baller on a budget success?

Can i run a 70mm t/b with a 70mm maff ? the ford F2VF-12B579-A2A

That would be a pretty sweet deal. They have had one around here like that but I haven't gotten to go. I hope they do soon!
