3.73 rear end
#2
I have ford racing ones in mine and they've held up fine with nitrous and a supercharger. You need a new speedo gear to correct your speedometer other than that there is no reason why you can't put them in a 95

If you're asking about complete rearend assemblies and vehicles you can get one out of that has 3:73 gears already, know that the axles in a 94-95 Mustang are 3/4" longer than axles in most of the other vehicles with an 8.8.Youre probably better off keeping your assembly and just having a shop install the 3:73 gears into your assembly. If you jack the rear of the car off the ground, spin the driver side wheel forward and the passenger side wheel spins backwards,go ahead and have the shop replace the clutch packs while they're in there. The 94-95 8.8 is usually the one everybody tries to locate to swap into their non 94-95 model,so Id keep the one youve got.
If you still think you'd rather try to find an entire rearend out of another vehicle, you can always pull the axles and brake components off of your rearend and swap them into the new rearend, but I doubt youll save any money from doing that vs just having the gears installed in your rearend. Its usually around $300-$400 for motorsport gears and a shop installation fee plus the backlash is easier to set with motorsport gears.
The following thread may have some info about 8.8 at the junkyard. You also dont know the condition of a rearend at the junkyard vs yours.Just scroll down to the appropriate section.
