Im thinking about going with the gt40 intake off an explorer, besides MSD distributor and massive cone filter my engine is bone stock. I was just wondering what all is needed to do the gt40 intake. I know i need the elbow but do the sensors and throttle body off of explorer match up? Will it fit under the stock strut brase? Any input would be great. Im also considering porting it prior to installing.

You will need the elbow, and a 95 tb, not the fox or explorer one so your throttle linkage fits. Personally I think youd be better off saving the installation for when you get some heads to do at the same time. Even a set of iron gt40s are an upgrade if on a budget

I have a set of gt40p heads to go on sometime but saving up for p and p and uprgaded valve train with a cam...and could i use my current tb on the gt40 intake set-up?
