Default HP Estimate and Trade Advice

Ok I knew I could come here and hopefully get some help. I have a 1990 lx 5.0 bbk shorty headers off road h pipe and American Thunders. Other then that it is completely stock. Needs paint

I have a guy wanting to trade because he wants a close to stock automatic 5.0 here is what he has.
1985 Mustang
302 bored 60 over
summit rotating assembly kit
351 truck heads
f303 cam
aluminum valve covers
Stock ford aluminom 4 barrel intake with holley 650
New clutch with billet aluimium clutch quadrant.
Flowmaster exhaust.
Stock headers for now.
8.8 rear
373 gears

Can someone tell me what kind of HP that 85 Mustang would make? Also is this a good trade.

that car MIGHT make 200 rwhp... but probably not.

the 351w heads are no different then E7's, unless they are old D0OE heads.

also, with the engine being bored .060 over... I would avoid it right there.

Ouch was hoping more then that so it is probably no more than the car I have now? I was concerned about it being bored 60 over and here is what he said

"It is a xxx block very high nickel content u wont brake it Guarantee that"

ANY stock 302 block, even a Mexican, is not to be trusted at .060"...

.040" is the limit, .060" might not get into the water jackets but i guarantee it wont sonic test...

and i think you can do better than that car for a trade. look for a better built 4 eye thats a 5spd and id do it.

for starters , read this:
https://mustangforums.com/forum/5-0l...bers-read.html

and second, in reference to the above quote , whomever said that is a clueless bafoon, xxx means jack, roller blocks commonly had such casting, care to see numerous cracked in half ones?? pre 74 and mex blocks have thicker webbing and area in the bulkhead under the mains which adds strength, all other 302 blocks are weaker

I had a .060 over in my 89, guy had 40k on and supercharged and didn't run hot, I removed it because all the piston rings were cracked

So they were cracked when you bought it? And the car never ran hot being bored 60 over?

If I go look at this car is there something I should look for?
