'86 engine/tranny mounting issue
So I popped the engine and a tranny in my car a couple of summers ago, and now that I'm actually able to work on it again I'm faced with an issue. After dropping the engine and tranny in together (both together), the rear engine mount, or tranny mount's, bolts are sticking out past the rear of the crossmember. I have a brand new tranny mount, have played the swap-motor-mounts-game with mounts from both cars the parts come from, but the tranny mount is still too far back.
Does anyone have any pictures of how their motor and tranny mounts seat, or any experience with this problem? I have 2 sets of parts each, one from the T5 that used to be in the car, one from the AOD that is now in there from the other car. It's been so long I forget what the mounts used to look like. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The mounts are the same for AOD and T5 and there is only one way for those to go on. What you don't realize is that the crossmember is actually adjustable. If you look at it you can gride the welds down on the bushing tubes and the mount itself will slide back and forth on them. If you get a new one it is adjustable already because the tubes are not welded but they say to weld them once everything is together.

If you have one from a 5 speed and then one from a AOD then use whatever one will work for it or just grind the welds and adjust.
