Default 460 Big Block

I was looking into buying a Dart Iron Eagle block, but a buddy suggested that I get a 460 big block out of an old Ford truck and have it blueprinted, hot tanked, and remachined if needed. That being said, has anyone seen a 460 block put in a fox body ( I have an 89 GT 5.0) I am looking to make a mid 10 street/strip car. Is that possible with this motor, or will it be too big/heavy for what I am trying to do? Any help would be appreciated.

A 460 in a Fox has been done numerous times. For what you are looking for, I'd go with a n/a 408 stroker build.

Go with a small block. You can build them just as fast with out the added weight!!

My uncle was going to do this. Bought a 460, and a rolling chassis fox, but the project died before it took off. He was to busy with the 454 81 Camaro...

it will fit, but you WILL need a cowl hood, and well, dont expect it to corner that well
