Stock AOD HP limits
Just wondering if it would be worth it to slap a Manual Valve body in my stock AOD I plan on eventualy getting the car to the 350 rwhp range, not sure if I need to just take the money for the valve body 250$ and save up to get a new TCI Streetfighter 1500$ what do you guys think ?

at the very least it will need a rebuild ($1200 around here) so a tci wouldn't be a bad idea, the aod, in fox bodies, was never built to be a very performance type transmission, I had an aod car and it was fast, but that was after a rebuild with a trans-go valve body and supposed "hi-performance" clutches (i just wanted a rebuild)

I hear ya, I'm going to just save up and drive it easy for now. Then when I can afford the TCI i'll just slap that one in, and throw some 3.73's in the rear and call it a day for drivetrain. And use the old tranny for some rebuild training.
