Default need a little help, fox body

Have a stock 93 fox, and was orginally was going to do a 351w swap. But after reading, and this being my first true over-hall, going to just stick with the 302 for now. My questions now are, on a budget, is there a rebuild kit that stands out above the rest? Should i go with aluminum aftermarket heads, or gt40? To keep the car somewhat streetable, what cam, head set up would work best together? Looking for 300rwhp for now, but still want the option to go farther in the future.Thanks.

With the cost of machine work, a new rotating assembly, gaskets, rings, ect, you'd actually save money by buying an assembled short block from LRS and have it shipped to you. If you want to do it yourself (much more fun) then head to your local machine shop and speak with someone there. They can help you choose the parts going into the rebuild and order pretty much any brand you want. 300rwhp is easily attainable nowadays. You can make over that with a TFS stage 1 cam and some Twisted wedge 170 heads.

is money a big deal ? of course aluminum heads are better but you can get 300 hp on iron gt40's and the aluminum are twice as much even after you ported the irons

do some port matching to the combo so it all works better together and +1 on the trickflow cam. just watch your build... advertised lift on that cam is only with a 1.6 rocker

the heads will like ported exhaust and smoothed turns on the intakes as well as removing the thermactor bump if it has one (production heads) if you will be NA , deck a bit, and do a comp valve job either way. a little goes a long way with porting. go to a shop that knows mustangs... they are a lil diff breed over some typical generic motors garbage

try looking around corral too, you could score some used heads or even a complete motor if the right seller is in there
