TKO 500 questions
I want to get a tko 500 for my 94 cobra and I have a few questions. When I get the bellhousing for it will the input shaft be the correct length? They don't sell different transmissions for fox and an 95 cars. What type of fluid should I use for it? Will royal purple syncromax work?

Call donnie walsh jr at d and d motor sports tell him alex hays sent you, get the kit they have, the bell housing and the trans will work fine you need to replace your pilot bearing, a different clutch since it is a different spline input shaft but yes it is the correct length. I had a tko 600 the swap cost me about 3k

depending in what TKO500 you get it might work fine with the clutch, they make a 10 and 26 spline IPS. the driveshaft needs like a ~ 3/8" spacer and the mount needs to moved ~ 1" forward.
honestly id just go with GM fluid, itll bend you over just the same as the RP and if anything goes wrong at least you'll know you covered your bases...
ive been going over this forever in my head: T5 is the lightest but not very sting and to get one for a 94/95 with a 2.95 1st and ~.8 OD is close to 2K, a TKO is only a little more than that, and THEN... the T56 Magnum is only a couple buck more than the TKO, and i wont have to worry about buzzing 3000rpm on the highway all the time...
decisions, decisions...

There is no modification that needs to be done to the mount. On the stock transmission, there is a metal plate between the transmission and the mount. You need to transfer that plate over to the new transmission, then bolt the mount on. It will fit right in place.
You need:
fox length bellhousing
fox clutch fork
5/8" driveshaft spacer
mount offset plate from stock transmission
Thats all it takes to install a TR3550/TKO/TKO500/TKO600 in an SN95
and make sure you use the correct GM Synchromesh fluid. Most of the other companies fluids are NOT compatible.
